Opening yourself up to change
I was talking to my business partner Stephanie last week and she was very excited about a video class GVO video guru Jaime Burchardt was teaching. She mentioned that Jaime said you should have an uncluttered background when doing your video recording so the viewer will be concentrating on you.
As soon as she said that, a light bulb turned on in my head. I realized I needed a real office space where I could work without distractions! Living in a large home that is now empty since the kids are grown up and gone, it dawned on me that the room upstairs over the garage (formerly my stepson’s) was the perfect place! A desk was already up there, I just had to bring my computer, files and supplies and I could get set up!
Have a look :
Unfortunately, my main computer has been at the manufacturer’s to get the hard drive replaced for a week, but it’s on the way home so stay tuned for some video uploads from my new space.
The bottom line? When you ask the universe for something, make sure you are open to hearing the response!
- My new office space! Lots of natural light and a blank wall behind me for taking videos!
- The essentials, a desk, a laptop, a dry erase board and most importantly, my flashing light glass from the Rainforest Cafe in Vegas!
- Our rottie mascots – “Rottweiler” was the key word in bringing my business partner Stephanie and me together! (but that’s a story for another day)
- Mommy’s Helper, this is one of my dogs, Shorty my little rescue guy. He’s a little confused why Mommy is spending time upstairs, but there’s a nice cozy bed for him to chill out on when he’s visiting :-)

GREAT post Deb and awesome to see your office photos.
Love the Rotties … are they learning lots?
I can see things going very well for you, can’t wait to see more,
